In the last month since my last blog post, Pedro and I have done some fun things! We went to a couple of Minnesota Vikings pre-season games, hung out with friends, watched stunt skiing, visited the State Capitol building, added a new nephew to the family, attended a MHA fishing trip, and some other things I can't remember right now until I look at my photos. ha ha...and then...Pedro started school.
Here are some photos of our adventures.

| This exhibit was amazing! |
Rembrandt in America is a collection of public and privately owned Rembrandt pieces found across America.
Rembrandt was an amazing artist, and this exhibit was interesting because it showed him as an artist, a teacher, a family man, a person. The pieces were organized to tell the story of Rembrandt's life, good and bad. Not all of the pieces were painted by Rembrandt himself, but some were by his students, in his own style, and then he signed them. Some pieces had been altered over the years by other artists and then restored to their original form.

| This piece is one of the most famous Rembrandt pieces and my personal favorite. It is awe inspiring how he captured the essence of life in her skin and eyes. |
 |
| This is a pedal pub! They are everywhere in downtown Minneapolis. We saw this on the way to the Vikings v. Buffalo Bills pre-season game. (We also watched them play the chargers) |
 |
| The Metrodome |
 |
| Skol Vikings! |
 |
| What happens when the crowd gets bored of the game, starts, the wave, then adds program confetti. |
This went on for 25 minutes. Impressive, right?
 |
| The State Capitol in St. Paul |
We went to the State Capitol with our friend Shaughan and her 3 beautiful kiddos. It was a lot of fun to see her teach her kids about the different pieces of the government because she is a lawyer. It was a really fun day and the building was gorgeous.

| 3 jumpers doing back flips |
The River rats are a stunt ski team that performs shows all throughout the summer in Minneapolis. They do ski jumping, barefoot skiing, ski skates, wakeboard tricks, pyramids, and ballet skiing. It was a lot of fun to watch and it was a great way to spend time with some friends.
On August 22, My brother Scott and his wife Abby welcomed a healthy baby boy into their lives. They named him Joseph and he is just beautiful. I am so excited to be an aunt to this little guy and can't wait to meet him over the Christmas break. It has been hard for me to miss out being with their family. I miss them so much and can't wait until we all live closer again.

| He melts my heart and I love him so much! |
As the summer came to a close, school started for Pedro. He is really enjoying his classes and is excited to tour some hospitals over the next few weeks. At the end of the first week of school. The MHA program hosted their annual fishing trip. We had a lot of fun getting to know Pedro's classmates better, playing volleyball, fishing, and eating great food.
 |
| Our good friends Jamie and Nicole. These guys are awesome! Nicole just had a baby a week before the trip and they brought him up to join in the festivities. (don't worry, he was back at the cabin with Nicole's mom, not in the boat) |
 |
| It was a little chilly and windy. |
I had a job interview last week at the University Hospital. It would be on the Intermediate Care floor working evenings and nights. It would be such a great opportunity for us. Plus, it is right next to all of Pedro's classes. They are still interviewing a few more candidates, so hopefully I will know the verdict by the end of the week.
I will try to be better at blogging more often. We have just been enjoying our time together before school gets busy so much that I put blogging at the end of my list. We are really enjoying our time here and could not feel more blessed. We love our friends and family and hope everyone has had a smooth transition back into school
xoxo
P.S. enjoy this random photo :)
