On June 21, 2015 Bella turned 14 months. She is as SASSY as ever! Her little personality has just boomed. It is so much fun seeing her learn and understand so much more. We love her more than ever!
Here is a little about 14 month old Bella:
- Bella follows directions so well! If I ask her to get something for me, she goes and gets it. I like not having to get up to get things now ;). I love how she pauses and kind of stares off in space as she comprehends what I ask her to do.
- She is starting to recognize more and more objects by name. In her book, I will tell her to point at a flower, cat, shoes, ball, banana, etc and she will point at them. She also points at her nose (more like her eyes), belly, toes, bum (her favorite one!), and hands. She will also point at everything she needs.

- Bella has started climbing on to and in to everything! I constantly am finding her climbing up on the TV stand, and sitting in baskets. She has learned that she needs to go backwards when climbing off of the couch, which helps let her be more independent. Whenever we go up the stairs Bella wants to walk up them. I hold her hands and she walks her way up the stairs one foot per step just like a big kid. Bella loves to sit on my hip. Specifically my right hip. if I hold her against my belly, she will immediately climb over to be sitting on my right hip.

- Bella has started throwing more tantrums, and her fake cry is more recognizable now. She will throw herself backwards and to the ground, and stomp her feet. This past week has been better. She hasn't been as whiny and is getting better at communicating what she wants.
- Bella is always trying to put her clothes on and take them off. She can now pull her shirt off after I get her arms out, and pull off her pants once I get them past her thighs. She loves to try and put headbands on as well. She thinks she is so big!

- Bella loves babies. She is always pointing at babies, and she carries her baby dolls everywhere. Her baby dolls are well taken care of. She hugs and kisses them, tucks them in their beds (blanket basket), pushes them in the doll stroller, pats their backs, and dances with them. She is so sweet and will make the best big sister some day.

- Bella loves to sing and dance. She spins in circles, tries to jump, waves her arms, sways, and wiggles her hips any time music comes on. She likes to sing by humming and taking a big breath between each hum. Its hard to explain, but I hope this is enough explanation that I can remember it forever. She especially loves to sing along with the clean up song.
- Bella has started sleeping better. She will sleep through the night at least 3 days a week. She sometimes has a hard time going down for her naps, and has been skipping her afternoon naps. When she wakes up from naps or doesn't want to nap, I hear her shouting on the monitor "all done!" over and over.
- Bella loves to watch Sophia the First. She gets so excited when she hears the theme song come on. She dances and waves her arms while smiling big.

- Bella loves to swim. She has become quite the little fish. I started dunking her head, and most of the time she is okay with it. She likes to "kick, kick, kick" and splash. She also loves to be thrown in the air and play on the steps. She loves being outside and gets so excited when I say "Let's go outside!" She will go get her shoes and start pounding on the door until we go out. She runs around and tries to jump because she gets so excited.

- Bella's words: "buh-bye", "dada", "mama", "up", "ball" (Baaa), "book" (boooh). She made up a word that she says all the time, "dinga dinga"
- Bella learned to use a straw, and she is obsessed. She especially loves to drink from Mommy's jug. She loves to do "cheers" with her sippy cup while we eat meals. She thinks it is pretty awesome. Bella eats so much food! I seriously don't know how she is not super chunky now. We have started using a plate with her and she is doing pretty well. She has started demanding her food cut into bigger pieces. She loves to take bites out of the food because it makes her feel big. She absolutely loves sour cream and would eat a bowl full of it. Bella is still nursing before bed and in the morning.

- Bella absolutely loves her daddy. She calls me dada all day. She loves to walk up the stairs and see the pictures of "dada" at the top of the stairs. The other day she saw a Hispanic delivery man and went crazy pointing and yelling "Dada, Dada, Dada!" When Daddy comes home from work she runs to him and practically jumps into his arms. Whenever I am on the phone she yells "Dada!" because usually it is Daddy on the phone. She always wants to talk to Daddy on the phone. It is so sweet how much she enjoys her daddy.
- Bella loves to play with her toys. She especially loves reading her books. She has a hulk action figure that she loves to use to pound on other things. She loves to play games with us. Her favorite is to throw stuff on the ground over and over and laugh as we have to pick it up. She loves to pretend to hand things to us and then run away laughing wanting us to chase her. She especially loves the chase game when I have to change her diaper. When Bella kicks her ball she throws her hands in the air and it sounds like she says "goal" (gooooh). Bella loves to help clean up her toys while we sing the clean up song, and she knows where all of her toys go. She loves playing with other kids. Especially older kids because she loves to play hard, and loves when other kids play hard back.

- Bella can only poop standing up. If she is sitting down she will grunt and grunt but nothing happens. As soon as she stands up, she assumes the position and starts grunting. because she eats so much now, she has been pooping a ton.
- Bella got her first tooth! And now her second tooth is popping up next to it!
 |
| Hello tiny tooth! |
- Bella started picking her nose. Enough said.
- Bella is still a cuddly girl, and we love it! She loves to pull our shirts up while we are laying on the ground and cuddle our bare bellies, and blow raspberries. She is a funny girl!
- Bella is so smart She loves to figure out how things work. When she has the TV controller, she will point it at the TV and start pushing individual buttons until something happens. She knows where all the power buttons are. She loves to examine different toys and see what each part does. I love her interest in the details!
Bella is such a fun little person. She is too smart for her own good! We love her and are so happy she is our baby girl!
